Why did Jesus become a man and come to earth? Obviously the best place to find the answer to that question in New Testament.<\/span><\/p>\n

We know:<\/span>
\n1. Jesus came to atone for our sins. (See 1 John 2:2<\/a>; 3:5<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n2. He came to take upon Himself the punishment that we deserved\u2014our punishment in \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>death. \u00a0He then made it possible for us to receive what only He deserved\u2014eternal life.\u00a0<\/span>(See Romans 5:6\u201311<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n3. He came to destroy the works of the evil one. (See 1 John 3:8<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n4. He came to make an open display of the foolishness of the devil and reveal the wisdom\u00a0<\/span>of the cross. (See Colossians 2:15<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n5. He came that we might have abundant life. (See John 10:10<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n6. He came to initiate the present-tense awareness of the Kingdom of God\u2014the realm and\u00a0<\/span>effects of God\u2019s rule. (See Matthew 6:10<\/a>.)<\/span><\/span>
\n7. Jesus came to save men\u2019s lives, not destroy them. (See Luke 9:56<\/a>.)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All true but yet sub-points to the primary reason Jesus came.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus came to reveal the Father.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>
\nJesus came to a planet of orphans
\nto reveal what we needed most\u2014the Father.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>
\nJesus came to set our focus, attention, and affection
\non the Father,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b>who is good. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
