{"id":9700,"date":"2021-08-02T04:14:52","date_gmt":"2021-08-02T04:14:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cassowary.unitingchurch.org.au\/?p=9700"},"modified":"2021-08-02T04:14:53","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T04:14:53","slug":"immersed-in-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cassowary.unitingchurch.org.au\/?p=9700","title":{"rendered":"Immersed in Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">God\u2019s deepest desire for us is that we would be rooted and grounded in love, that we would know the height and depth and width and breadth of the love of Christ, which surpasses understanding.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Bible says God is love, so we can never be comfortable with God if we don\u2019t also get comfortable with love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If we are rooted and grounded in love and experience every dimension of God\u2019s love, then we are filled with God\u2019s fullness. That\u2019s where our intimacy with Him thrives. <b>When you\u2019re living from fullness, you\u2019re no longer living from measure<\/b>. Your supply is beyond sufficient; it\u2019s abundant.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Love is the centre of life that holds all things together. The Apostle Paul calls it the \u201cmost excellent way\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/1%20Corinthians12%3A21\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Corinthians 12:21<\/a>). Many choose to live in fear and restlessness, yet, we know that \u201cGod did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and<b> love<\/b> and of a sound mind\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/2%20Timothy1%3A7\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2 Timothy 1:7<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As we have seen again and again, intimacy is about loving God for who He is. That\u2019s the invitation of Christ. By just being with Him, we learn how to see His face and hear His voice.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><b>We become what we behold<\/b>, just as in the garden Adam and Eve saw, heard, felt, experienced, and encountered the Father as those made in His image. They gazed at Him and were like Him. They were one with Him in intimacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Whatever you\u2019re facing today, I want to encourage you to take a moment to receive God\u2019s love. His good thoughts toward you outnumber the sand on the seashore. Ask, the Father, \u201cwhat do You see when You see me?
