How can we water the seeds in our lives, the lives of others and relationships? Here are some important watering techniques from Scripture that are listed in Steve Backlund\u2019s blog.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Abiding in the word<\/b> \u2013 \u201cThen Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, \u2018If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free\u2019\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/John8%3A31-32\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John 8:31-32<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Keep believing you have already received<\/b> \u2013 \u201cTherefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive <i>them,<\/i> and you will have <i>them<\/i>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Mark11%3A24\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark 11:24<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Thanksgiving<\/b> \u2013 \u201c Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, <b>with thanksgiving<\/b>, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Philippians4%3A6-7\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philippians 4:6-7<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Meditation<\/b> \u2013 \u201cBut his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Psalm1%3A2-3\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psalm 1:2-3<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Fellowship with others<\/b> \u2013 \u201cBut if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/1%20John1%3A7\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 John 1:7<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Good choices in relationships <\/b>\u2013 \u201cHe who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Proverbs13%3A20\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proverbs 13:20<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Faith declarations<\/b> \u2013 \u201cDeath and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Proverbs18%3A21\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proverbs 18:21<\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Keeping our heart soil good <\/b>\u2013 \u201c Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Mark4%3A18-19\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark 4:18-19<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\"><b><\/b><b>Water others through generosity (e.g. encouragement)<\/b> \u2013 \u201cThe generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/ESV\/Proverbs11%3A25\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proverbs 11:25<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\">These things might help \u2014&gt; Regular church attendance &#8211; Committing to a small group &#8211; Have a teaching or worship music playing as you start your day and every time you start your car.
