
Service times this week

I think its true to say that we all would choose comfort over discomfort! I know I do.
For some of us our comfort comes in the form of a recliner chair with remote control in hand and our favourite beverage. For others it is comfort food such as chocolate or a big bowl of ice-cream drizzled with your favouirte topping and sprinkled with chocolate bits. For still others it’s the warm embrace and hugs of from people who stick with you. For others it’s the security of employment.
These thing may indeed bring comfort. However Isaiah 40:1-11 suggest, that our true comfort, is found;
Firstly in the truth that we are identified by God as His people (40:1) despite our incompatible behavoiour that deserves punishment. God intends that we will have a future together. Continue reading “Comfort Comfort”
