The Holy Spirit KNOWS

Sometimes it takes someone else to say the obvious thing before the ‘light goes on’. I often say God has the solution to every problem that comes our way, but I also often limit God’s solutions to my limited Christian world.

Ps Kris Vallotton shared this testimony that I found helpful in ‘turning the light on’  once more ……..

“I know you know that the Holy Spirit knows everything, but really, have you ever taken a moment to understand what that actually means for your life? Furthermore, have you fathomed exactly how the reality of that revelation can profoundly change the trajectory of your life?

I had never deeply thought about what it is that the Holy Spirit actually knows outside of Christian concepts until I was at the end of my ropes with a big problem that found its way in my auto mechanic shop one day. A client was offering me a huge payout and a lot of potential work if I could solve his “unsolvable” problem. This is when it hit me to ask…

Does the Holy Spirit know anything about auto mechanics?

You’ve probably heard me tell this story. If you haven’t, you can find out what happens here, but…spoiler alert: turns out the Holy Spirit knows A LOT about auto mechanics. Continue reading “The Holy Spirit KNOWS”

Failure a catalyst to faith

Failure is often a catalyst to faith in the Kingdom of God. Oftentimes we assume that God can’t use areas of our lives where we lack capability and craft. Thus, we confine and constrict ourselves to what’s comfortable and familiar, instead of leaping into the land of risk.

Yet, it’s often in the land of risk that we find the catalysts to greater depth of the supernatural in our life.

Now, let me be clear; I am not encouraging any sense of moral failure in order to reach greater levels of faith, but it is obvious that Jesus created a culture of faith around Him.

The Bible says that Judas was a thief and Jesus knew it (John 12:4-7). Yet Jesus made Judas the treasurer of His ministry. Why would Jesus make Judas the treasurer when He knew that he was a thief? Continue reading “Failure a catalyst to faith”

Knowing the mind of God – more on SQ

I’d like to pick up this week where I left off on Sunday 17th January 2021  in my message…….
The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2: 1-5; 9,10 “When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.  I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,  so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

We can know the mind of God!   Continue reading “Knowing the mind of God – more on SQ”
